Public Policy & Advocacy Workshop
Join the Association of Arizona Food Banks & Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona for a day to learn about what legislation and policies will affect the emergency food relief network, and what steps you can take to advocate for a healthy, hunger-free Arizona.
Topics will include:
Hear from a representative from Senator Flake's office about the importance of contacting your elected officials and the best methods for making your voice heard.
Timing and process of legislation, hunger relief proposals and key state and federal 2017 bills.
You will have an opportunity to ask a panel of experts in the legislative process questions on advocacy.
