Public Policy & Advocacy Workshop
Join the Association of Arizona Food Banks & Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona for a day to learn about what legislation and policies will affect the emergency food relief network, and what steps you can take to advocate for a healthy, hunger-free Arizona.

Topics will include:
  • Hear from a representative from Senator Flake's office about the importance of contacting your elected officials and the best methods for making your voice heard.
  • Timing and process of legislation, hunger relief proposals and key state and federal 2017 bills.
  • You will have an opportunity to ask a panel of experts in the legislative process questions on advocacy.

When: March 30, 2017  9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Annual Conference
Each year, AAFB hosts an annual conference for our member food banks, their agency partners and various hunger relief organizations throughout Arizona. Our goal is to provide a forum for networking, education and sharing of best practices to help us all work together towards our common goal. With a range of expert speakers we cover topics such as key advocacy issues, food safety best practices, and hunger impacts throughout Arizona.
