New Food Hardship Data Released

Almost 18% of Americans reported in September 2010 that they struggled to afford enough food for their household at times over the last 12 months, according to analysis of new Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index polling by the Food Research and Action Center (FRAC).   Interestingly, increased SNAP benefits provided by the Stimulus, as well as increased participation rates, combined to play a key role in ensuring the food hardship rates were not higher.  Read FRAC's press release for the complete story and get access to food hardship monthly data for 2010 by visiting their website.
