Kids Eat Free with the Summer Food Service Program
The
Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) is ramping up statewide to ensure Arizona children do not go hungry away from school this summer. The program, established by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), feeds any child age 18 and under for with a nutritious, balanced meal—for free. These free meals meet Federal nutrition guidelines and are provided to all children at approved SFSP sites in areas with significant concentrations of low-income children by schools, private non-profits and local or county governments. In Arizona, SFSP is administered by the Arizona Department of Education (ADE).
