MONTHLY GIVING

Giving a regular monthly gift ensures the Association of Arizona Food Banks (AAFB) is able to assist our member food banks in meeting increased demands throughout the year.  When you decide to make a monthly gift, AAFB would deduct an amount of your choosing from your card on the 5th or 20th of each month.  If you wanted to discontinue monthly giving, you simply would notify AAFB in writing.
If you wish to give a monthly gift using your credit card, simply contact AAFB Director of Development Virginia Skinner at 602-528-3434 or 1-800-445-1914

GIFTS IN HONOR OR MEMORY
Celebrate the holidays, a birthday, or any special occasion with a contribution in honor or memory of family members, friends or colleagues. Acknowledgements, without dollar amounts, can be sent to your honorees. Click on the Donate Now button above or contact Virginia Skinner at 602-528-3434 or 1-800-445-1914.

You may also donate by mail by sending a check or money order to:
Association Of Arizona Food Banks
2100 N. Central Avenue, Suite 230
Phoenix, AZ, 85004-1400

RECEIVE A TAX CREDIT FOR YOUR 2010 DONATION TO AAFB
Receive a tax credit for your 2010 donation! Under Arizona law (ARS43-1088.G.2), AAFB is recognized as serving the working poor. If you qualify, it is possible to receive a FULL TAX CREDIT of up to $200 (filing as a single unmarried head of household) or $400 (married filing joint) for donating to AAFB. Not only can you receive the Arizona tax credit, but you can also include the donation on your Federal Tax Return. Please check details with your tax preparer or financial advisor, visit www.azdor.gov or call 1-800-843-7196. If you donate to a public school or a tuition assistance organization, you can receive all three tax credits. For the 2010 tax year, donations must be received by AAFB no later than December 31, 2010.

ANOTHER OPTION: If you are at least 70 1/2 years young, you may qualify to donate from your IRA without triggering tax consequences when you transfer funds directly. This option was extended in the recently signed Fiscal Relief Act. Again, consult your tax preparer or financial advisor for specific advice.

GIVE THROUGH YOUR AMERICAN EXPRESS CARD
Give to the Association of Arizona Food Banks by donating with your American Express Card. Donations can be made in dollars or Membership points. Your dollar donation is tax deductible and you will receive an e-mail receipt that meets IRS requirements as a record of your contribution. The site also enables you to set up recurring donations. Plus, you can earn one Membership Rewards point for virtually every dollar you donate on an eligible, enrolled Card. Visit the Giving Express website for more information, including eligibility and terms and condition information.

GIVING THROUGH UNITED WAY
If you contribute to the Valley of the Sun United Way or Mesa United Way you can designate your donation to the Association of Arizona Food Banks by indicating our identification number 7006 on your pledge form, or you can specify us by name.

DOES YOUR EMPLOYER MATCH GIFTS?
You may be able to double your gift to AAFB through Matching Gift Programs! Many employers offer to match your gifts as a way to encourage their employees and often their retirees to support charitable organizations. While many of our donors access this opportunity, there are probably many more who may not realize this potential. Please ask your human resources office if your company offers this opportunity. By simply filling out the required forms, you can offer a "second helping" of generosity to people who are hungry throughout Arizona.
